Effective date: July 27, 2026
The Omen ("the app") is designed to respect your privacy from the ground up. This policy explains, in plain terms, what happens with your data when you use it.
The Omen keeps your game data entirely on your device and does not create an account for you—see the notifications section below for the one narrow exception. Your progress—the Omens you have collected, your favourites, your Fate balance, your chosen language, and your sound setting—is saved only in your device's local app storage. It never leaves your device, and we never see it. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage, permanently deletes this data with no way to recover it, since no copy exists anywhere else.
The Omen does not require you to create an account or sign in. It does not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, or any other personal information. It does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking software of any kind, and it does not share, sell, or transmit any data to third parties, because it has no mechanism to transmit data at all.
If you turn on “Notify me when Omen is upon” in Settings, the app asks your browser for permission and creates a push subscription (a delivery address issued by your browser, not by us) so it can send you one reminder when your next reading becomes available. To do this, a small server component stores that push subscription together with the timestamp of your next reading—nothing else. This is the only data The Omen sends off your device, and only if you explicitly turn this feature on. Turning it off removes that stored subscription. This feature does not identify you personally—the subscription is just an anonymous delivery address for notifications.
If you choose to purchase Fate, that purchase is handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play billing system. The Omen never sees, collects, or stores your payment details—no card number, billing address, or similar information ever reaches the app. Apple's and Google's own privacy policies govern that part of the transaction.
The Omen is not directed at children under 13, and since the app collects no personal information from anyone who uses it, this applies equally regardless of age.
If this policy ever needs to change—for example, if a future version of the app adds a feature that changes what data is stored—an updated version will be made available within the app before that change takes effect.
